Strength and Conditioning

hammer weights in weight room

At Delbarton, strength and conditioning is more than just training — it's a cornerstone of athletic and personal development. Our program is built to prepare student-athletes to perform at their highest level, fostering a culture of discipline, resilience, and growth. Under the guidance of certified coaches and using state-of-the-art facilities, our athletes build strength, increase speed, improve mobility, and reduce injury risk — all while developing the work ethic and confidence that define Green Wave excellence.

Whether you're preparing for competition or simply striving to be your best, Delbarton Strength & Conditioning provides the foundation for long-term success — on and off the field.

All we are called to

Built Through Strength and Spirit

Every rep, every sprint, every sacrifice builds not just the body, but the heart and mindset of who we're meant to become.

Trained to Endure and Compete

In the weight room and on the field, we answer the call not just to win, but to develop the toughness and discipline that endure beyond the game.

Own the Weight. Rise Together

We show up for each other, take on the challenge headfirst, and grow stronger as one—because greatness is never built alone.

mission and purpose

Our mission is to Strengthen the body, Equip the mind, and Empower the spirit of each student-athlete through strength and conditioning.

OUR PHILOSOPHY - BODY

  • Reduce Injuries While Training
    • Safety is #1. Student-athletes will train in a safe, supervised environment using proper techniques in a program appropriately developed for our athletes.
    • To reduce injuries during training, we focus on the movement of the bar, and lastly, the load of the bar.
  • Reduce Injuries in Sports
    • We incorporate pre-hab exercises in each training session that strengthen problem areas in each part of the kinetic chain.
  • Improve Athletic Performance
    • Training focuses on functional movements that are multi-joint, multi-directional, multi-planar, and multi-level, that are prescribed in a sequence with a purpose.
    • Develop a solid foundation of strength by using multi-joint and closed-chain exercises
      • Single Joint Movements do not carry over to sports performance
    • We seek to improve athletic performance through assessments, increasing mobility, and strengthening the pertinent movement patterns in sports.

OUR PHILOSOPHY - SPIRIT

We not only want our student-athletes to gain strength and be successful in their sport, but we also want them to be educated, learn values, and develop character traits that can help them be successful beyond graduation.

We also seek to educate our student-athletes on the importance of practicing good nutrition, lifestyle, and sleeping habits that play a large role in their physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
