A message from the president
Our Alumni Association has had a great fall season highlighted by the Golf Classic, Class Reps Dinner, Philadelphia/Villanova Outing and Homecoming weekend.
The ninth annual Golf Classic was held at Spring Brook Country Club for the first time and was admirably chaired by John McEvoy, ‘89. Thanks to Johnny Mac, we had our largest field ever. Sean Riley, ‘89, was very comfortable on his home course, shooting a 72 and taking home the low gross, and his foursome, including Dan Honeker, ‘87, took home the Delbarton Cup.
Fr. Michael joined our September Class Reps Dinner and engaged in a fireside chat addressing a wide range of topics relating to Delbarton and our Alumni Association. The discussion included an exciting announcement that the school is planning to break ground on a new building, the Learning Commons, this spring. This building is possible thanks to the philanthropy of alumni and parents. Thank you!
Delbarton and Villanova are like peanut butter and jelly these days. Craig Paris, ‘82 led the team down to Philly for a big night with our growing Delbarton Alumni community in and around Villanova. 30 local alumni including Villanova students were in attendance!
I believe this year’s Homecoming weekend was the best ever thanks to the largest attendance yet! On Friday night, Delbarton’s Hall of Honor welcomed four new members: Jack McNamara, ‘59, Bob Farrell, ‘64, Brian Ferriso, ‘84 and George Parros, ‘98. Saturday was a beauty! A football victory against Pope John, special honors for the 1993 football team, 1984 soccer team and 1985 soccer team. And of course, the Garden was rocking!
If you missed any of this, fear not. If you’re in Boston, we will see you on October 22nd. If you’re in the Greenwich area and Westchester suburbs, we will see you October 30th. And if you’re on the west coast, get to our second annual Las Vegas event on November 14th. Jim Gallombardo, ‘81 is a gracious host and sponsor of the Vegas event.
Thank you for the all work you do to keep this Association strong. We have a wonderful fraternity, and I am honored to lead it. See you all soon in N.J. or a city near you.
Go Wave,
Tim Fitzsimmons ‘95

DELBARTON FUND
The students of Delbarton thrive because of the support of the entire Delbarton community. As an alumnus, you are an essential part of this community. By making a gift to the Delbarton Fund, you can transform the educational experience for every student.
Your gift to the Delbarton Fund...
- Helps fund a financial aid budget of more than $3.5 million this year, providing aid to over 20% of the student body.
- Provides over $180,000 in supplementary budgetary support for arts programs, sports teams, clubs, and organizations, taking the fundraising burden off booster groups and activity participants.
- Affords competitive salaries, benefits, and professional development opportunities for a faculty that immerses themselves fully in the Delbarton experience.
Last year, gifts from over 2,700 current parents, alumni, and parents of alums raised a record $3.05 million in cash gifts to the Delbarton Fund. This year, donations to the Delbarton Fund—approximately 10% of the annual operating budget and adding up to about $2,420 per student—will be put to use immediately, impacting the daily life of each Delbarton student.
Your participation matters most! Click here to make a gift now.
Thank you for supporting the students of Delbarton!
