Delbarton Alumni Mentorship Program
MISSION: To facilitate connections and foster relationships by expanding horizons and opportunities, to connect mentors with protégés to provide coaching, guidance, and leadership development opportunities among alumni and the broader Delbarton community.
CAREER NETWORKING AND MENTORSHIP
Provided framework for career networking
- Established industry leaders
- Organized alumni by industry and role
- Defined affinity groups (e.g., Arts, Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Private Markets, Technology, Collegiate, Regional, Company-Specific, etc.)
- Established Delbarton LinkedIn affinity groups
- Promote social events and panel discussions
- Building "career vault guides" to provide career 'hacks' to accelerate success
Formalized the Alumni Mentorship Program
- Established industry leaders
- Organized alumni by industry and role
- Defined process, methods, cadence of proactively matching cohorts of protégés
- Provided data and tools to facilitate matching
- Protégés matched with alumni with at least three mentors:
- 5-10 years of experience
- 11-20 years of experience
- 21+ years of experience
- Protégé gains varied “point-in-career” perspectives
- Alumni stay engaged throughout their careers and lives
- Over 400 mentor relationship established since 2022 across eleven major industries
- 3 cohorts to date, 4th planned for April 2024
- Established a Management system
- Integrated with Graduway and Raiser’s Edge platforms
- Formal mentor and protégé surveys for feedback loop to continuously improve the program and provide testimonials
