Delbarton Career Center

The Delbarton Career Center (DCC) is for ALL Delbarton alumni at any point in their careers.  The mission of the DCC is to provide high quality career services to Delbarton Alumni.

The Mission is accomplished though:

  • Meeting with alumni requesting career guidance to understand individual objectives
  • Providing guidance and assistance to alumni through each phase of the career placement process
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with companies in most need of the skills Delbarton alumni possess
  • Hosting events where recruiters can discuss staffing needs or meet candidates, such as Corporate Coffee Chats

Incorporates programs serving alumni into a common framework, providing synergistic resources and consistency

  • Career Networking, including affinity groups such as Arts, DCREN, DOW, DPMA, Tech, etc.
  • Alumni Mentorship Program
  • Alumni Career Day and DelEX
  • Supports Alumni Development Office, Class Reps, Regional Clubs

Formalizes new service offerings, tailoring to individual needs of the alumni

  • Source an inventory of job opportunities highly relevant to Delbarton alumni
  • Open targeted job search, matching candidates’ profiles to available opportunities
  • Assist with the application process
  • Review résumé, interview preparation and follow-up
  • Review social media profile
  • Analyze job market, salary ranges, compensation negotiation techniques

Works with hiring companies wishing to recruit Delbarton alumni, arranging for donations in lieu of finder’s fees

  1. Drives affinity group panel discussions, social gatherings, volunteer service projects, etc., as needed
  2. Surveys those served to provide a continuous improvement feedback loop and collect testimonials
  3. Collaborate with the Alumni Development Office to evaluate/attribute giving by DCC beneficiaries for ROI purposes
