College Counseling
The Junior and Senior Guidance (College) Counselors provide detailed guidance for admission to college. The individual and family elements of this process begins in the late fall of the student's Junior year, when each young man and his family meets with his Junior Counselor and the College (Senior) Counselors to help him clarify his goals and interests.
During the ensuing months, the Counselor meets with the student and his parents to define realistic expectations and specific objectives for college. Throughout the process, parents are informed and involved, and every effort is made to direct each student toward a college that will challenge his abilities and satisfy his interests.
With rare exceptions, Delbarton School’s graduates immediately enter four-year colleges.
