called to thrive

Helping Each Delbarton Student to Thrive Academically

At Delbarton, academic support is available to all students every day.  Academic accommodations are available for students with specific learning and health disabilities. Our goal is to offer the right level of support to enable every student to thrive and take ownership of his work.

The Basics

Delbarton’s Guidance Team develops academic accommodations based on the needs of our students.  We work with teachers to help every student find success at our school.

Delbarton matches its challenging academic program with multiple tiers of academic support.  From classroom teachers to resource centers and peer tutors, the Delbarton brotherhood creates a support system for all of our students.

alumni mentor program

Alumni Teaching Fellows, a post-graduate position for Delbarton alumni who are in their first year out of college, are responsible for managing this after-school program.  Open to all students, the Alumni Mentor Program offers time management, organizational, and test preparation skills.  The Fellows are uniquely equipped to advise our students on navigating the rigors of Delbarton’s academic program.

classroom teachers

Classroom teachers are available for extra help during two specific periods out of the school day: Homeroom and lunch flex time.  In addition, our teachers make themselves available daily when possible before and after school and during their free periods, either in their department offices or in the Malone Academic Resource Center.
