Four Days of Fun: The Annual 8th Grade Trip

Four days, three states, thirty sight-seeing boys...welcome to the 2019 8th Grade class trip!

Four days, three cities, 29 (plus one late arrival from Europe!) sight-seeing boys...welcome to the 2019 8th Grade class trip!

This week, 30 members of the Class of 2023 and four courageous chaperones -- faculty members Bryan Stoll, Luke Chiarolanzio '11, Rob Flynn and Middle School Guidance Counselor Rick Cimino -- boarded a bus for an 8th grade spring tradition: the class trip to Baltimore, MD, Washington, DC and Colonial Williamsburg.

Day one, the group enjoyed Baltimore's Inner Harbor, eating dinner, visiting the aquarium and attending a Baltimore Orioles game.  Not a bad way to start a trip!  From there, they made their way to Williamsburg, VA.  Day two and three included Church at St. Bede's, a tour of William and Mary College, courtesy of recent grad Trey Zgombic '18 and a stop at Busch Gardens!  A hotel swim capped off an exciting day 2.

Day three started with a tour of Colonial Williamsburg then a bus ride to our nation's capital where the group met up with Dan Cimaglia '16 for a tour of Georgetown University, a walk to the monuments and dinner in Georgetown.  Day four, the final day of the trip included a trip to Arlington National Cemetery, Air and Space Museum, The Museum of American History and lunch at Union Station, before the boys headed back home.

This was quite the trip for the boys and four exhausting days for the chaperones!
