The Delbarton Art Department, along with twelve of its AP seniors, is proud to present “Unmasked”, a new art preview on display in the Fine Arts Center. The premise for this portrait project is to capture students up-close and personally, something we don’t see nowadays due to mask wearing mandates designed to stop the spread of COVID-19.
A self portrait is defined as a painting, photograph, sculpture, or other artistic representation of the artist himself. Artistically, self portraits go far beyond simple documentation, as each of these pieces reveals the students’ true self behind the mask.
We invite you to visit Unmasked, currently on display in the Fine Arts Center. Contributing AP Studio Art students from the Class of 2022 include the following students and their art: Mathew Failla Boy, Jake Georgen Stargazing!, Rory McAloon Existential, Carlos Pelayo Feeling, Robert Maffucci Focus, Aiden Nevistich Solidarity., James Royse Stellar!, Owen Davis In Awe, Satino Mammaro A Perceptive Gaze, Luke McChesney Reverie, Anthony Loia Oh Brother!, Sahej Sandhu Aquarius Rising and Will Ritter The Stranger.
