On November 16, the Delbarton Physicians One Day (POD) Club hosted its second virtual meeting of the new school year with great success. Special guest, Dr. Nicole Lacz P'24, a diagnostic radiologist specializing in breast Imaging, ‘Zoomed' in to explain to us a little bit about her profession.
Dr. Lacz earned her BS in Biochemistry from Boston College where she graduated summa cum laude, and with highest honors. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from New Jersey Medical School and was awarded the Highest Ranking Female Graduate of her 2004 class. She interned at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York and completed her Residency at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. Dr. Lacz then went on to complete her fellowship in Breast Imaging at St. Barnabas Ambulatory Care Center in Livingston, NJ. She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Radiology and is notably skilled in Breast MRI, Mammography, Ultrasound and Breast Interventions. She previously held positions at Summit Medical Group and Overlook Breast Center prior to joining Montclair Radiology and Chilton Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Lacz gave a wonderful talk about her profession and prepared an amazing powerpoint presentation filled with pictures and a bunch of important information. She explained in great detail her path to medicine, and also highlighted the importance of hard work and achievement. After the presentation was over, she opened up a discussion and allowed myself and members of the club to ask any questions that they had.
POD Club members would like to thank Dr. Lacz. She was a pleasure to host and gave an amazing presentation. We greatly appreciate her time and contribution to POD club!
