Matt Pasko '23 Earns Eagle Scout Rank

On Saturday, October 3, Matthew Pasko ’23 was honored for earning his Eagle Scout Rank at Troop 8’s Court of Honor in Chatham Borough.  He also received five Eagle Palms for earning 46 merit badges.

Matthew began his scouting career in Cub Scout Pack 6 and earned the Arrow of Light Award.  After joining Troop 8, Matthew served his Troop as a Den Chief, Patrol Leader, Troop Guide and currently serves as Assistant Senior Patrol Leader.  In the Summer of 2019, Matthew was elected by his peers to serve as Crew Chief for a 12-person contingent to Philmont Scout Ranch where he backpacked for 100 miles in the mountains of New Mexico.

For his Eagle Project, Matthew led a team of scouts and adults to build planter boxes and benches for a new park in Chatham Borough.

Outside of scouting, Matthew has been an active member of the Delbarton community since 7th grade.  He is a member of the Cross Country team, Track team, The Courier, Business and Economics Club, Delbarton Economic Education Program, Euro Challenge, Interfaith Food Pantry and is a Student Ambassador.
