On the evening of October 8, Old Main was alive with music, dance, cultural displays and amazing food. The nineteenth century mansion built by Luther Kountze was literally pulsing with sounds from La X 96.3 DJ C LO who kept the tunes coming from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. A young mariachi band performed throughout the event -- at one point under the steady gaze of former Delbarton headmasters' portraits in the paneled Gallery -- and a junior tango dancing couple impressed guests with some mad moves.
This celebration was also foodie heaven -- check out the photos below for the array of tempting savory dishes and dessert, many that came straight from home kitchens. Mark your calendars for next year to attend this outstanding event hosted by DAP and the Diversity & Inclusion Parent Council that attracted students, families and friends from across all cultures. We salute the young men from DAP and their families (and the friends who supported them) for adding spice and life to the Delbarton calendar with the Hispanic Heritage Month celebration!
