Delbarton and St. Benedict’s Host NJ Catholic School Diversity Conference

On Saturday, October 23, Delbarton School and St. Benedict's Prep will host the inaugural NJ Catholic School Diversity Conference. This one day event is designed for school heads and administrators, students, faculty, parents, alumni and board members. Click here to register for the first NJ Catholic School Diversity Conference.

Both Delbarton and St. Benedict’s Prep look forward to collaborating and sharing all they do on and off campus to encourage and enable diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Through workshops and open dialogue, the conference mission is to connect participants in an impactful way, and to lift the voices of our students.

As Catholic schools, Delbarton and St. Benedict's Prep have a special opportunity to build from the foundations their individual missions and core values with equity and justice. Organizers have structured the Conference to engage each participating school’s community in important conversations. They also invite schools to form cohorts to build mutually beneficial relationships beyond the Conference itself. We have much to learn, and we can help each other along the way.

In their message to NJ Catholic Schools, Conference organizers wrote, "During this event, we hope the biggest takeaways are to build community, learn from each other, focus on each of our positions and the work we are called to do. By meeting as school cohorts, everyone will be able to discuss what we can bring back to our respected schools and how we can keep the momentum going."

To participate in the 2021 NJ Catholic Schools Diversity Conference, please register here by September 30. Once registered, you will be contacted to discuss how to build and expand your school's cohort.

For questions, please contact Delbarton Diversity Coordinators Jenna Gomez-Nourie or Tony Negrin. We look forward to seeing you on campus at Delbarton on October 23.
