Welcome to Delbarton School! We are delighted to share our web site with you.
Delbarton School is an independent, Benedictine, Catholic college preparatory school for young men, guided by the Benedictine monks of St. Mary’s Abbey and their lay colleagues. Delbarton is rooted in the Catholic and particularly Benedictine monastic traditions of a strong liberal arts education.
The Delbarton community comprises a faculty of eighty-five men and women and approximately six hundred and thirty young men in grades 7-12. Delbarton welcomes students of every background who wish to contribute to the Delbarton community and to be nourished by it.
Delbarton seeks to enroll young men of good character who have demonstrated scholastic achievement and capacity for further growth. In turn, our faculty strives to support each young man's efforts toward intellectual development and to reinforce his commitment to help build a Christian community of mutually accountable men and women.
Delbarton’s faculty encourages each young man to become an independent seeker and creator of knowledge. Each young man must assume responsibility for gaining both knowledge and judgment, which will strengthen his faith, his membership in the life of Delbarton, and his contribution to our wider society. While Delbarton offers much, it also seeks young men who are willing to give much.
