Welcome to Delbarton School! We are happy that you have chosen to visit our website. Delbarton is a very special place, and we are delighted to share it with you. Please make yourself at home as you learn about our school.
Delbarton School is an independent Benedictine Catholic college preparatory school guided by the Benedictine monks of St. Mary’s Abbey and their lay colleagues. Delbarton is rooted in the Catholic and particularly Benedictine monastic traditions of a strong liberal arts education.
The Delbarton community comprises a faculty of eighty-five men and women and approximately five hundred and ninety young men. Delbarton welcomes individuals of every race, religion, and national and ethnic origin who wish to contribute to the Delbarton community and to be nourished by it.
Delbarton seeks to enroll young men of good character who have demonstrated scholastic achievement and capacity for further growth. In turn, the faculty strives to support each young man's efforts toward intellectual development and to reinforce his commitment to help build a Christian community of mutually accountable persons.
Delbarton’s faculty encourages each young man to become an independent seeker and creator of knowledge. Each young man must assume responsibility for gaining both knowledge and judgment, which will strengthen his faith, his membership in the life of Delbarton, and his contribution to broader society. While Delbarton offers much, it also seeks young men who are willing to give much.
