Vigilantly protecting the safety and welfare of St. Mary's Abbey worshipers and guests, as well as Delbarton School students and staff, is central to everything we are and do. Nothing is more important than upholding the trust you place in us at St. Mary's Abbey and Delbarton School.
St. Mary's Abbey and Delbarton School's child-protection and Safe Environment policies and procedures are accredited by Praesidium, an independent risk management and compliance organization specializing in youth-serving organizations. Praesidium accreditation ensures that best practices in abuse prevention are employed in all Abbey and School operations. Our child-protection and abuse reporting policies and procedures also conform to all applicable New Jersey state laws.
In addition to our rigorous pre-employment screening practices, as required by our Praesidium accreditation standards, each employee of St. Mary's Abbey and Delbarton School is required to complete annual training programs on prevention and informed responsiveness to claims of abuse and harassment of any kind.
