Woodie Webber’s “Honest Painting” at Delbarton
Meghan Podimsky

Delbarton School is proud to host an exhibition of works by Morristown-based painter Woodie Webber, open December 1, 2025, through January 16, 2026. With over two decades of experience, Webber is renowned for his commitment to “honest painting,” capturing the energy and rhythm of the world around him with each brushstroke. Note: all original works in the exhibit are for sale (please email art teacher Caitlin Servilio for details).

A plein air painter, Webber immerses himself fully in his surroundings, transforming fleeting moments into vibrant works of art. He does not seek to freeze a particular instant in time or perfectly replicate nature; instead, he channels the movement, light, and life he observes into canvases that resonate with presence and authenticity. As Webber explains, painting is “much like meditation or prayer…working in such a manner provides inner fulfillment and facilitates a connection between myself and my surroundings.”

Throughout his career, Webber has exhibited widely across the United States, with solo shows in New York, NY, and Savannah, GA, and group exhibitions spanning five continents. His work is featured in private and public collections nationwide and abroad.

Webber earned his BA in Art from Seattle Pacific University and his MFA in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design. At Delbarton, he shares his vision of art as a dialogue with the world, inviting viewers to experience the dynamic energy of life captured in paint.

The exhibition will be on display in Delbarton’s galleries from December 1, 2025, through January 16, 2026. Visitors are invited to explore Webber’s work and witness how an artist can turn observation, energy, and presence into compelling visual storytelling.
