Wall Street Macro Analyst Chris Verrone ‘02 visits Senior AP Macro classes
Meghan Podimsky

On Wednesday, February 1, Tom Brady invited Mr. Chris Verrone '02 to speak with each of his senior AP Macroeconomics classes. Verrone is a top macro analyst on Wall Street as well as a partner at an institutional brokerage firm called Strategas Research. After being founded in 2006, Strategas was created to provide Macro Research and Capital Markets & Corporate Advisory services to their clients and investors.

Verrone discussed his time at Delbarton and how the School's impact has carried with him throughout his career. He even cited Delbarton's mission statement as a cornerstone for his company's business model. He then went on to dismiss any rumors about Wall Street professionals and then offered professional tips as our young men prepare to graduate and enter a new chapter.

Reflecting on his time at Villanova when he was finishing up his studies in political science, Verrone discussed the steps he took to jump-start his career. He expressed the importance of Delbarton's alumni network and encouraged our seniors to stay curious, have a good attitude and remain enthusiastic when the time comes for them to enter the workforce. When it came to career advice, he encouraged students to focus on their achievements rather than get caught up chasing a certain status. Verrone stressed the importance of humility and expressed how good character and maintaining work relationships will go a long way. "Develop close relationships with your clients on the phone and in person," he reminded students as so much of our communication relies on technology today.

We are grateful for Mr. Verrone's visit to Campus and thank him for showing our young men a profile of a model Delbarton graduate.
