Two Seniors Receive NROTC Marine Option Scholarships
Jessica Fiddes

On March 5, 2025, Delbarton seniors Zeke Ehrenberg ’25 and Jadon Prinzivalli ‘25 received unexpected presentations of Naval Reserve Officers Training Corp (NROTC) Marine Option scholarships at an event organized by Senior Guidance counselor Nick L'Infante

NROTC Marine Option is a scholarship program that provides full tuition, summer training and more to qualified young men and women who seek to enjoy a traditional college experience while preparing to serve as a commissioned Marine Second Lieutenant.

During the brief ceremony, Executive Officer Captain Maximillian Berry, on left, did the honors, assisted by Staff Sergeant Ings Terry, and arrived armed with two large presentation checks, each in the amount of $180,000, the estimated value of the financial support the U.S. Navy offers to commit to our young men during their college years. Captain Berry commended Zeke and Jadon for their achievements and character and told them, “You both stood out as exceptionally outstanding candidates in a highly competitive field.” Ehrenberg is an award-winning debator, competing around the country for the Delbarton Forsensics Society. As quarterback, Prinzivalli led the Green Wave Varsity Football team during its outstanding 2024 season.

170 top U.S. college or university NROTC programs around the country host NROTC units where participants’ tuitions and expenses are covered. The NROTC Marine Option Scholarship is just one path to becoming a Marine Officer (the U.S. Naval Academy is another). Each US military branch offers both service academy and ROTC options and Ehrenberg and Prinzivalli continue to assess their options before making final college decisions.

The Delbarton community salutes them for making the grade, academically, physically, and as young leaders of good character, for two highly competitive NROTC Marine Option scholarships.
