Jessica Fiddes

The Delbarton community congratulates Tommy Pigott ’11 who recently was named as the Spokesperson for the State Department under the leadership of Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Previously, Pigott worked as Strategic Communications Director at the Republican National Committee and has almost a decade of communications experience, including serving as the State Department’s Principal Deputy Spokesperson for the past year. See him in action here during an interview with Deutsche Welle (DW), the German state-funded television network, about Trump’s first 100 days in office.

After graduating from Delbarton in 2011, Pigott earned a bachelor’s degree from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and a master’s degree from the George Washington University School of Media & Public Affairs.

Pigott says, “I will continue to give you the latest updates on how the State Department is advancing President Trump’s American First foreign policy.”

We salute Tommy Pigott on navigating to this very visible and impactful role in U.S. State Department communications and wish him the best of luck.
