Delbarton Artists Shine at Blackwell Street Arts Center
Caitlin Servilio

Delbarton visual artists earned well-deserved recognition for their skills this year at the Blackwell Street Center for the Arts High School Art Show. On Wednesday, April 18, at the Morris County Administration Building in Morristown, students mingled with top artists from 18 other area high schools at the show's reception and awards ceremony.

Delbarton visual artists awarded for talents

The competitive annual show received over 600 entries this year, with less than half the entries accepted.  As Peg Dressel, the co-organizer of the show, said on Wednesday, it is an honor to have work accepted at all - in addition to which, Delbarton students received numerous awards in different art categories. Once again, Delbarton students continue to embody the Benedictine tradition of growing closer to God by cultivating beauty through the arts.
