On June 4, Delbarton welcomes back Patrick Ramsey '86 as our 2023 Commencement speaker. Ramsey is Chairman of Global Mergers and Acquisitions and on the Executive Committee of Global Corporate & Investment Banking at Bank of America (BofA). He was previously Global Head of Mergers & Acquisitions from 2016 to 2020, and Co-Head of Americas Mergers & Acquisitions from 2010 to 2016.

Throughout his career, Ramsey has worked with clients on a broad range of domestic and cross-border M&A situations, including company and subsidiary sales, acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, and activism and raid defense across a range of industry sectors. He joined Merrill Lynch in Global Mergers and Acquisitions in 1995; In 2008, BofA acquired Merrill Lynch. Prior to Merrill Lynch, he worked for Kidder, Peabody & Co. in investment banking, where he focused on Mergers and Acquisitions.

Ramsey received a B.A., cum laude, from Colgate University, and an MBA, with Honors, from Harvard Business School. He lives in New Vernon with his wife Kristen, and their three children, Nicholas (Delbarton ‘18), Caroline (Oak Knoll ‘19), and Julia (Oak Knoll ‘22). He is on the Board of Regents at Delbarton, and the Board Directors of READ Alliance, a non-profit organization that develops reading skills for at-risk children in approximately fifty schools in New York City. He was formerly on the Board of Trustees of the Peck School from 2011 – 2019.
