Meghan Podimsky

On Tuesday, March 19 and 26, during the quiet Spring Break days on campus, two groups of officers from the Morris Township Police Department gathered in the Mike Grey ‘06 and Pat Glory ‘18 Wrestling Room, nestled on the first floor of Pizzo Family Field House.

Stepping into the wrestling room wasn't just a change of scenery for the officers, it was an immersive experience aimed at working through different scenarios on how to handle non-compliant subjects.

Paired off into teams, officers practiced and honed their techniques, focusing on seamless coordination and effective communication to defuse different situations. Each exercise allowed officers to familiarize themselves with new tactics designed to bring subjects into custody while maintaining control of the situation.
