Middle School Spelling Bee Creates a Buzz at Delbarton

In a packed Spada Commons on December 6, the Middle School of New Jersey Consortium Spelling Bee landed at Delbarton and the most accomplished middle school spellers in northwest New Jersey demonstrated why they are the best spellers at their respective schools. Participating were Oak Knoll, Oratory Prep, Ridgedale Middle School, Central Middle School (Stirling), Morris Plains Borough School and Delbarton. Four spellers from every school participated in varsity and JV divisions and each division produced third, second and first-place winners. Delbarton’s eight spellers were nominated by Mr. Mike Carr and Mr. Michael Donelly. Middle School Guidance Counselor Rick Cimino and Central MS English teacher Maura Aimette served as the event moderators as they gave out the words for students to spell.
