On May 14, Mike Gilfillan '82, P '18 addressed Delbarton seventh graders as part of the ongoing Middle School Speaker Series created this year to connect our youngest students with alumni brothers who share career guidance and insights.
Gilfillan is president of Brick City Sports Capital, LLC, a sports and entertainment investment management company. He was a co-owner of the New Jersey Devils hockey franchise, served on its board of directors, and was vice chairman and principal of Devils Renaissance Development, LLC which developed the Prudential Center. Gilfillan also held the roles of vice president and co-chairman of YankeeNets, LLC and helped launch the Yankee Entertainment and Sports Network (YES), a livestream regional TV sports network.
After describing the process of building the Prudential Center and launching the YES Network, Gilfillan showed the boys five of the six championship rings that he received as a result of his relationships with the Yankees and the NJ Devils. Middle School Director Rick Cimino later reported, "He came with five and thankfully left with five."
A big Delbarton thank you to this very accomplished alumnus for taking the time to share his professional story with members of the Class of 2029.
