On August 29 at the Faculty & Staff Picnic, the 2024 Delbarton Regents Awards were presented to long-standing staff members Josh Hartle and Maria Lorenzo.
Josh Hartle, who serves as Assistant Headmaster for Academic Affairs, recently began his 27th year at Delbarton where he has served ably as teacher, coach and administrator. In his current role, he oversees all faculty members and academic programs at Delbarton. Hartle is pictured here with his wife and daughters who were there to witness the Regents Award presentation.
Maria Lorenzo marked her 26th year at the School on August 28 and says, “I was so happy to walk through these doors 26 years ago, and I’m just as happy now when I arrive at work every day.” In her role as Library Administrative Assistant, she maintains the ambiance, functionality and serenity of the Khubani Library where many a young Delbarton researcher has benefited from her guidance.
Tonight’s awards were presented by Chuck Ruebling ‘79, Assistant Headmaster for Student Affairs, who stood in for Headmaster Fr. Michael Tidd, O.S.B, off campus this weekend to officiate at a Delbarton wedding. Hartle and Lorenzo are pictured below with, from left, Delbarton Regents Joe Ferraro '95, Board Chairman Andrew Anselmi ’83, Regent Christopher Destefano, Chuck Ruebling '79 and Board Treasurer Amon Johnson IV.
Many faculty and staff members, present at an annual event deliciously catered by Sage Dining Foodservice Director James DiSilvestri and his staff, applauded their colleagues when the awards were announced.
The Delbarton community salutes Josh Hartle and Maria Lorenzo on their well-deserved recognition. Through their mutual commitment to excellence, unfailing work ethic and consistently positive attitudes, they have earned the respect and gratitude of us all.
