Join Us for Delbarton’s 8th Annual Science Fair!
Meghan Podimsky

At Delbarton, science is much more than theory; it’s active investigation, independent research, and a celebration of curiosity. Our Middle School science curriculum emphasizes scientific inquiry, laboratory skills, and real‑world problem solving that encourages students to ask questions, test ideas, and think deeply about the world around them. This foundation supports the innovative projects our students bring forward every year at the Delbarton Science Fair.

The Delbarton Science Fair, hosted by the Middle School and the Research in Science Club, has become an anticipated event on the academic calendar. More than 70 Middle School projects fill the gymnasium with creative experiments and thoughtful investigations spanning disciplines like biology, physics, environmental science, psychology, and engineering. Students have tackled questions ranging from the effects of temperature on chemical reactions to how AI can predict weather patterns, all grounded in rigorous research and scientific exploration.

Beyond student projects, the fair often features activities and community engagement, such as demonstrations by the Robotics and Engineering Club and interactive science trivia, bringing together learners of all ages.

We’re excited to invite families, faculty, and community members to our Annual Science Fair this Friday from 3:00 to 4:30 PM. Hosted by our Middle School and the Research in Science Club, the event will showcase this year’s independent research projects, with awards presented after judging concludes. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the curiosity, creativity, and scientific talent of our students.
