Fall Alumni Reps' Dinner Kicks Off an Exciting Year
Jessica Fiddes

Delbarton alumni class representatives were in the house on September 30 for the annual Fall Reps Dinner at the Madison Hotel.

The event was well attended by over sixty Delbarton Alumni Association class representatives. Senior leaders from the Class of 2026, including Student Body President Dara Corr '26, also attended the Dinner to get a taste of alumni life -- it won't be long, boys.

After an hour of networking, the group dined after hearing a prayer from former Abbot Jonathan Licari, O.S.B., then listened to opening remarks from Alumni Association President Joe Ferraro '95...

Ferraro introduced Headmaster Fr. Michael Tidd, O.S.B. who offered a state of the school report, then hosted an informative town hall Q&A with class reps.

Homecoming Weekend 2025 had already taken place, a rarity for the Fall Reps Dinner where the campus-wide event is typically a hot topic. See our Homecoming Album here

Next, reports were offered by...

  • Jim Gallombardo '81 who talked about DelEX and the new Alumni Career Center opening in Old Main in fall 2026.
  • PJ Calello '90 talked about Delbarton Arts and encouraged alumni to attend the Christmas Concert on December 17 and the Abbey Players winter musical How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying from February 6-8, 2026. "If you haven't been to a Delbarton production in a while, prepare to be blown away," he told fellow class reps.
  • Ted Lawless '03 and Joe Colangelo '03 spoke about Ora et Labora, then recruited apple pickers for the Abbey Orchard. After a dormant year in 2024 followed by an alumni assist to improve irrigation, the apple trees are now heavy with fruit.
  • Calello and Dan Cimaglia '16 offered a class reps update, then assisted Delbarton Fund Director Maria Van Kirk P'26 with distributing the following awards:

The Headmaster's Cup was presented to the Class of 2008 for its impressive 64% participation. Matt Campbell '08 accepted the award on his classmates' behalf.

The Rev. Kenneth Mayer Award was presented to the Class of 2024 for the most donors in any class: 74 donors.

The Alumni Achievement Award was presented to the Class of 1994 for the biggest improvement in annual giving in a single year, with an increase of 8 donors over the previous year. Kevin McLane '94, P'24,'26,'30 accepted the award for his class.

Decade winners for the top class-by-decade were also acknowledged. This year's winners are:

  • '40s & '50s: 1950 (60%)
  • '60s: 1961 (56%)
