Delbarton Community Celebrates Black History Month
Meghan Podimsky

DAP and PCDI hosted a wonderful Celebration of Black History & Culture on Thursday, February 29. The event kicked off in the Fine Arts Center as the space transformed into a lively celebration with vibrant decorations, art and cultural displays, as well as a DJ booth.

The celebration continued as guests enjoyed music, dancing, and delectable food. The event featured a large sheet cake with the event logo, which was created by our PCDI team of parents.

The most exciting part of the evening was the student presentations and Unity Steppers Dance & Drill Team performance. Hailing from Morristown, the group of young women, ranging from grades 3 to 12 in age, took center stage and delivered a series of dance performances that left the audience energized and inspired.

At the end of the night, guests gathered together in the FAC lobby as the DJ encouraged everyone to dance and celebrate together.
