Delbarton's 2022 Christmas Toy Drive
Meghan Podimsky

On December 7 during M Block, deaneries assembled in Trinity Hall classrooms to box and label unwrapped gifts for Delbarton's annual Toy Drive. Each deanery, comprised of students in grades 7 to 12, donated roughly 2 items per student. Toys were then packed up in boxes and loaded onto a truck, graciously lent to us by Harrington Contractors, as they make their way to Paterson, NJ.

Christmas music filled the air as Santa (aka Br. Will McMillan) made his rounds from classroom to classroom bringing some extra holiday cheer to the day. After loading the truck with boxes, students enjoyed cups of steaming cocoa served outside of Trinity Hall, the perfect pick-me-up on the unusually warm and gloomy December day! Many boys and teachers were dressed in Christmas attire to get in the festive spirit. Distribution Day takes place this Sunday, December 12, preceded by 8:30 am Mass in the Abbey Church, followed by a bus ride to the Fr. English Community Center in Paterson. Student, parent and faculty volunteers will unload and arrange the toys, decorate the Center and help the children of Paterson to choose their favorite gifts.

Thank you to the MANY volunteers and generous donors who are helping us play Santa in Paterson this Christmas season! Enjoy this year's toy drive highlights...
