Delbarton Shares the Spirit of Christmas in Paterson
Meghan Podimsky

The Delbarton community once again came together this Advent season to spread joy beyond campus through its annual Christmas Toy Drive, a longstanding tradition rooted in service, generosity, and faith.

This year’s drive took place on campus on Thursday, December 11, as students filled up a moving truck with hundreds of unwrapped toys for families in need.

Following the campus-wide drive, Delbarton parent volunteers and students collaborated with Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Paterson for a distribution event on Sunday, December 14, in Paterson, NJ. With a fluffy white blanket of snow covering the ground and flakes falling from the sky, the day began with Mass in Spada Commons, followed by the drive over to Paterson, where volunteers worked together to prepare the space for welcoming families.

Our students served as cheerful helpers throughout the afternoon, guiding families as they selected gifts for their children and ensuring every child left with something special. The room was filled with smiles, laughter, and gratitude. It was a powerful reminder of the impact of simple acts of kindness.

The annual Toy Drive provides our students with a meaningful opportunity to embody Delbarton’s mission beyond the classroom, underscoring the importance of compassion, service, and community engagement.

THANK YOU to all who contributed their time, generosity, and spirit to making this cherished tradition possible.
