Community Service Fair 2023
Meghan Podimsky

At Delbarton, we live committed and it is through active service that we understand the deep power of connection and brotherhood.

On September 13, students gathered in the Fine Arts Center and listened to a quick "get involved" pitch on why service is so essential to life at Delbarton. With 100% of our students volunteering in service participation each year, today's Community Service Fair gave our young men the opportunity to learn about the twenty-seven campus service projects and to sign up for the ones they feel most called to.

Options range from Neighborhood House and EPOCH (tutoring handicapped children) to our yearly Thanksgiving Food Drive and Christmas Toy Drive. The Greener Wave addresses environmental issues. The Raising Hope Walk, taking place on September 30, shines the light on mental illness and suicide, and Solidarity Sleepout in March supports the mission of Covenant House.

The annual Community Service Fair successfully launches another year of Delbarton community outreach locally, nationally, and globally as our students are ready to put in the work and make a difference. Thank you to the students who served as community service project leaders and guides this year.
