Alumni Gather for Pig Roast 2025
Jessica Fiddes

On May 29, a large gathering of Delbarton alumni met on a beautiful late spring evening in the Formal Garden for their annual June (so close!) Dinner Meeting, aka Pig Roast, which features dinner al fresco under the tents.  After a social hour and a brief meeting during which the 2025-2026 board was announced, guests helped themselves to a buffet dinner of roast pork with all the fixings.

But first, there was some business to attend to. Headmaster Fr. Michael Tidd, O.S.B., our traditional Pig Roast speaker, was off campus at the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian in Washington D.C to support CJ Kirst '19 (Cornell) who received the Terwaaraton Award as the top male collegiate lacrosse player in the county. Delbarton is proud to be the first school in the US to produce two Tewaaraton Award winners (Ned Crotty '05 (Duke) received the Award in 2010). We salute CJ, his proud family and the NCAA-Champion Cornell Lacrosse team!

Back at the Pig Roast, Alumni Association President Joe Ferraro '95 welcomed alumni and singled out members of the Class of 2025 for inclusion in the Long Green Line of Delbarton alumni.

He praised Alumni Board inductee Gianni Vinci '18 who was instrumental in launching Delbarton Collegiate, a collection of Delbarton alumni chapters on college campuses. "Gianni is a relentless ambassador for this school, setting an example by showing up, giving back and leading the way," said Ferraro. He also promoted the upcoming Delbarton Career Center in Old Main. With $600,000 of our $1.5 million goal achieved, we are getting closer to making this aspirational vision a reality.  The Center will professionalize what Delbarton already does through externships, mentorships, networking and more, connecting alumni of all ages for advice and support. "Delbarton doesn’t stop at graduation," Ferraro reminded the crowd.

Former Alumni Association President John Ferramosca '05 spoke briefly, encouraging the Class of 2025to follow @delbartonyoungalumni on Instagram...

-- and then introduced 2025-26 Board members, many of whom are pictured below.

Director of the Delbarton Fund and Advancement Operations Maria Van Kirk P'26 reminded alumni to participate in the evening's #DelbartonTOGETHER (DT) Pig Roast Power Hour and continue Delbarton's journey forward before 11:59 p.m. ET. The two days of giving were peppered with unlocked challenges that doubled donations and amplified fiscal support. Stay tuned soon for a very positive DT recap thanks to our alumni, current and former parents, faculty, staff and friends.

Finally, Assistant Headmaster for Advancement & Alumni Craig Paris '82 P '13, '15, '19 announced the "Red" Green '56 Fighting Spirit Award recipient and presented the award to Will Trafford '25 for his persistence, composure, and leadership during his years at Delbarton. We congratulate Will and his family on this well-earned special recognition, and were gratified to see so many of his Class of 2025 classmates on hand to witness the presentation.

Finally, we took our annual group photo...

-- then guests then helped themselves to roast pork, hotdogs, hamburgers, and side dishes, and alumni from across the decades lingered in the Garden to trade stories and catch up. Thank you to all who joined us last night, and onward and upward into 2025-2026 for the Long Green Line of the Delbarton Alumni Association!
