All Are Welcome to the Abbey Orchestra's Christmas Concert
Meghan Podimsky

This Sunday, December 11, the Abbey Orchestra will host their annual Christmas Concert in the Fine Arts Center. Starting at 7 PM, the show will feature a variety of classic arrangements along with festive Christmas music; from Haydn's "London" Symphony No. 104, Brahms' Hungarian Dances 1 and 5, "The Gift" by William Hofeldt, to the jolly arrangements of White Christmas, We Three Kings, and Hark the Herald Angels Sing, it's a show that'll be sure to get everyone in the Christmas Spirit! The concert is directed by adjunct music faculty member and Abbey Orchestra conductor Mrs. Norma Davis.

The Abbey Orchestra has been a staple of Delbarton's music program as it was formed in 1971 by former Delbarton Music Department Chair Dr. Roy Horton and Fr. Germain Fritz, O.S.B. Mrs. Davis has served as the Orchestra's conductor since 1996 as this music ensemble brings together talented musicians who are enthusiastic about learning and seeking new challenges within the world of music. Made up of Delbarton students, students from local middle and high schools, and adults from the community, there is a wide range of talent to see. Come see the Abbey Orchestra in action this Sunday as admission to this festive concert is free to the public!
