On May 8, with a beautiful spring morning as our backdrop, Delbarton School joyfully welcomed generations of families to campus for our inaugural Grandparents Day—a celebration of legacy, faith, and community.
The day began with a special Mass at 9 AM in the Abbey Church, where grandparents and students gathered for a meaningful liturgy. Following the service, guests were transported by shuttle to the Garden for a light reception featuring refreshments, conversation, and plenty of Delbarton spirit.
A Delbarton Shop Pop-Up was open bright and early, offering guests the chance to pick up exclusive Green Wave gear to mark the occasion. Throughout the morning, optional photo stations captured special moments between students and their grandparents—those photos will be shared in the May 12 edition of the Sunday Scoop.
As Headmaster Fr. Michael Tidd, OSB, shared during Mass, “Hospitality is an essential hallmark to our school ethos,” a sentiment that was deeply felt throughout the event as our community opened its arms to welcome the families who helped shape the young men of Delbarton.
Thank you to everyone who made this day such a resounding success—we look forward to continuing this new tradition for years to come.
