Delbarton sets a new record for units collected during yesterday's blood drive...

Delbarton hosted another successful Blood Drive on April 12.

The 36th annual Delbarton Blood Drive was a record breaking success. 195 good Samaritans turned out to donate the all-important red stuff, producing an impressive 252 units of blood. Donors were able to recuperate with a sumptuous spread of sandwiches, fruits, and all manner of sweets provided by the always amazing Delbarton mothers.

Over the span of 8 hours on Thursday, the Delbarton community consisting of students, parents, alumni, faculty, friends and more came out to contribute toward the 252 units of blood collected. 136 ALYX units were collected along with 116 whole blood units. In attendance was a particularly impressive set of donors: Kathy and Henry Troy, grandparents to Michael Noonan '22, who will begin his freshman year at Delbarton in the fall. Hats off to Mr. and Mrs. Troy who bled green for Delbarton yesterday!

A salute to the many student and parent volunteers and coordinators, along with Nurse Barbara Pereyra, Campus Ministry Director David Hajduk, and New York Blood Center for helping us to continue Delbarton's tradition of donating blood to save lives.
