The Fall Alumni Reps Dinner on September 18 at the Madison Hotel was well attended by Delbarton Alumni Association class representatives. See photos here.
After an hour of networking, the group dined while hearing reports from Alumni Association President Terrence Rouse '86 and Homecoming Chair Jerry Jabbour '92; Grant Hewit '02 and Tim Fitzsimmons '95 announced the award-winning classes including:
Headmaster's Cup: Class of 1948 for100% participation
Rev. Kenneth Mayer Award: Class of 2003 for most donors in any class (93)
Alumni Achievement Award: Class of 1987 for the biggest improvement in annual giving in a single year (an increase of 48% over the previous year)
Catch the Wave Award: Class of 2011 for the most donors by Jan 31 (35)
Dr. Richard Birrer '68, in town from Saudi Arabia where he manages healthcare for half a million petroleum workers, held the attention of alumni with his engrossing story of climbing Mt. Everest in 2010. He is one of just 300 people to summit the tallest peaks on each of the seven continents. Headmaster Br. Paul Diveny, OSB spoke about the state of the School -- another banner year is underway at Delbarton and October 18th was a great night of fellowship for the Delbarton Alumni Rep network.
Thanks for coming, guys, and congratulations to our award winning classes!
