Alumni Golf Classic Tees Off For Second Year

On Thursday, September 20, 2012 the Delbarton Alumni Associaiton hosted its inaugural Alumni Golf Classic at Somerset Hills Country Club in Bernardsville, NJ. Click here for photos.
A great group of golfers enjoyed a superb day of golf and comraderie on the links, followed by drinks on the patio and a buffet dinner. Headmaster Br. Paul Diveny thanked alumni and friends for supporting an event that raises funds for the Delbarton School Endowment Fund. Comedian Michael Somerville '90, fresh from his gig on David Letterman, served as auctioneer and conducted a great live auction; his smart funny patter kept the crowd laughing and bidding. James Olsen '89 made an excellent straight man for the Devils auction item (Yes, the hotdogs are hot, yes the cheerleaders might stop by and, yes, it's possible you'll see George Parros '98 too).
A salute to Alumni Association President Terry Rouse '86 and the alumni organizers who masterminded this popular, new Delbarton alumni tradition. All agreed that the second annual Alumni Golf Classic was a major success.
