Alumni Meet at Patriots Game

Delbarton sports fans enjoyed a great night at the TD Bank Ballpark in Bridgewater last night at the Somerset Patriot v. Sugarland Skeeters game. The Alumni Association bought up a block of tickets and handed them out with abandon to alums, faculty and friends. Starting at shortstop for the Pats was former Green Wave and Princeton standout Dan DeGeorge '05 who had a great game, hitting a double that got a rally started. The Skeeters ended up winning by a bug's leg (4-3) which barely dented the enthusiasm of Green Wave fans, especially when the game was followed by spectacular fireworks, tricked out by amazing, boom-boom enhancing 3-D glasses. Far out!

Thanks for coming out for a memorable night of b-ball, sports fans, and a salute to Dan DeGeorge for graciously welcoming Delbarton fans before the first pitch which was thrown, coincidentally, by Alumni Board member Jerry Jabbour's nephew. And the Del connection doesn't stop there: A stunning rendition of the classic Take Me Out to the Ballgame was sung by a group from Morris Rugby, including Green Wave star player Jake Feury '12. It was an all Delbarton, all the time kind-of-a-night and we were loving it.

Go Patriots...Go Wave Baseball!
