Summer...Delbarton-Style
Posted July 6, 2012
Delbarton Sports Camps and Summer Session are well underway and the place is jumping. Campers are moving from playing fields and courts to dips in the pool and lunch in the dining hall. (See photos here.) Meanwhile boys and girls in Delbarton's Summer Sessions are either in class or comparing study notes in the hallowed halls of Trinity Hall.
Last week's Sports Camps included Football, Soccer, and Tennis; this week it was Lacrosse, Baseball and Basketball, and next week it's Ice Hockey camp at Aspen Arena (cool!) plus more Lacrosse and Basketball. Delbarton Sports Experience, where younger athletes are exposed to multiple sports, is open for business every week through July. The counselors -- mostly Delbarton guys who are former campers-- work hard for their salaries and enjoy mixing it up with the younger guys.
In Trinity Hall co-ed academic programs are full of kids looking to move up a notch academically, improve their study skills or prepare for the SATS/ACTS and challenging courses coming up. Everyone there seems upbeat too -- OK, so maybe they aren't gaffawing in Chemistry but they will be smiling this fall when they don't have to start a full year of Chem. The building has a nice, relaxed, studious feel to it, a good place to learn.
Yes, it's summer...Delbarton-style.
