Lost? Found!

After nearly a month on vacation from Delbarton, if you are still missing a blue blazer, favorite hoodie, broken-in cleats, favorite textbook or powdered wig (yes, you read right) we have a hot lead for you...

Check out the infamous Delbarton Lost and Found, now consolidated, conveniently located and open for business outside the Book Store, but only until July 31st. Click here for photos. Sad but true, your treasured bits and pieces have an expiration date at Delbarton and anyone who has shopped at the Book Store knows that Manager Peg Patrick means business. She ought to. She did all the sorting.

For several weeks Patrick has gone through the mountains of possessions culled from lockers and campus buildings. (Imagine your son's closet, then multiply by, oh, a quadrillion). She invites certified students and parents -- bring a Delbarton ID -- to check through the boxes in the Science Pavilion's lower level. For missing valuables like blazers, cell phones, car keys, calculators stop by the Main Office where Connie, Lorraine and Lori guard the good stuff like the regal lionesses that they are.

What happens to the unclaimed items post-July 31st? In early August all useable clothing and shoes are cleaned and donated to Bridges, the Delbarton outreach project in NYC... notebooks with blank pages are delivered Catholic Charities for afternoon programs...books are recycled or retained by the School for use next year. All items go to good causes but Delbarton still prefers that your son (and you) retains ownership of your family's property. We encourage you to stop by before July 31st.

Happy sorting, gents and ladies...and Go Greener Wave!
