150+ hale and hearty Delbarton alumni met on campus for the June Dinner Meeting/Pig Roast on June 6th. Thunder clouds gathered in the distance, then passed on and the evening was perfect for a buffet dinner under the tent in the Senior Garden. After several speeches and awards, the crowd helped itself to a buffet pig roast with all the fixings. See photos here.

Delbarton Alumni Association President Curt Ritter '89 handed over the reins of the Alumni Association to Terry Rouse '86. Annual Fund giving co-chairs John Tonzola '95 and Grant Hewit '02 updated the group and encouraged all to donate to the Delbarton Annual Fund before books close on June 30th. 2012-13 Board officers were voted in, Curt Ritter received the traditional presidential parting gift of a Delbarton captains chair. Headmaster Br. Paul Diveny presented Garrison Block '12 with the "Red" Green '56 Fighting Spirit Award for his persistence, composure and leadership in athletics during his four years at Delbarton. Director of Alumni & Development J. Craig Paris '82 presented plaques to Departing Delbarton Fund Director Jane Collins, Assistant for Alumni & Development Matt Goldsmith '04 and Administrative Assistant Marguerite Aromando (who retires after 21 years at Delbarton).

After dinner Delbarton friends, including many from recent graduation years, lingered over dinner to trade stories and catch up. Several lacrosse playing grads from the Class of 2012 stopped by to report on that night's victory over Summit (don't miss the state finals, Delbarton vs. Bridgewater, this Saturday night, 7:30 at Kean U).

The annual June Pig Roast just gets bigger and better every year -- proof that relationships forged at Delbarton continue to remain strong.
