This year, the Delbarton Arts Council (DAC) hosted its first annual Photography Contest. Click here for an album of the 2012 winning entries.
The contest started before Spring Break and lasted for two months. With the subject of the photographs being 'Delbarton Happenings,' student photographers' possibilities were endless. When the DAC Photo Contest came to an end, close to seventy photographs were entered. There was a wide range of photo methods and techniques, whether the photo be in color or black and white, or have it taken on a DSLR camera, a point-and-shoot, or an iPhone with the Instagram app.
The photographs captured the beauty of the Senior Garden, the pendulum, Fine Arts Center, and many overlooked qualities and landmarks at Delbarton.
The judges, Mrs. O'Malley, Mrs. Fiddes, Br. Paul, Mark Pizzi '12, and contest organizer Matt Grella '13, had a hard time choosing the winners of the contest because there were so many great photographs to select from.
