Green Wave Tennis Wins Bryan Bennett Tourney (Tennis Boys (Varsity))

On April 15, 2012 Green Wave varsity tennis won the Delbarton-hosted Bryan Bennett Memorial Tournament which commemorates former Green Wave tennis captain Bryan Bennett who perished on 9/11 in the World Trade Center Towers. This year in the finals Delbarton prevailed 4-1 over Livingston, breaking Livingston's 45 match winning streak (which included an April 5th 3-2 victory over Delbarton). The win earned Delbarton its first Bennett title since 1994. In those days the event was called the Delbarton Tournament and Bryan Bennett '94 played first singles for the team. We salute Coach John Thompson and the team, and thank the many volunteers who worked to make the annual event a success. Go Wave Tennis!
