Rory McDermott '97 Exhibit Opens in FAC
Posted April 3, 2012
The Delbarton community is invited to enjoy a new exhibit in the Fine Arts Center lobby, the art of Rory McDermott '97, a Delbarton alumnus who embodies the School's goal for students to 'do it all'.
McDermott grew up in Short Hills, NJ and attended Delbarton where he took the two-year AP Studio Art course with current Art Department Chair Diane Lopez. He graduated from Georgetown University in 2001 with a major in Finance and a minor in Studio Art. At Georgetown he received the Misty Dailey Award for achievement in Studio Art.
For the past eleven years McDermott has worked in the finance industry specializing in fixed income derivative products. Throughout that time, he studied with Paul Ching Bor at the Art Students League of New York with a primary focus in the large format watercolors on display at Delbarton. McDermott currently lives in Chatham, NJ with his wife and two children.
Don't miss the great exhibit of Rory McDermott's work currently on display in the FAC Lobby.
