On January 19, 2012 the Delbarton Mother Guild Parent to Parent committee hosted Det. Mark Castellano from the Morris County Prosecutor's Office who facilitated an interactive discussion on Internet Safety including cyberbullying, sexting, internet addictions and their consequences.

Det. Castellano's experience in the field and his vibrant personality held the audience's attention. He explained how digital technology has given children the ability to deliver insults and slurs virally. Castellano said that the old 'sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me' days are over, and parent need to pay attention to avoid pitfalls that can be psychologically devastating, legally damaging and even life-threatening.
