    FORENSICS: Students (especially freshman and sophomores just completing fall sports) who are interested in joining the Forensic Society, Delbarton’s speech and debate team, are welcome to the team’s weekly Business Meeting on Tuesday 11/4 at 2:35 PM in the Gregory Room.   • 3 on 3 MINORITY MENTORS BASKETBALL FUNDRAISER

    The Minority Mentors Program will be hosting its 2nd Annual 3 on 3 basketball tournament for charity on November 5th at 2:45pm. Sign-ups for the tournament will take place during lunch this entire week in the cafeteria. The fee to play is $10 per player and the winning team will choose a charity to send all of the proceeds from the event. The winning team will also win a gift card to use at a location to be determined. All grade levels are encouraged to participate!

    The Euro Challenge is a national competition for 9th and 10th graders interested in current affairs, the global economy, and public speaking. Cash prizes are awarded to winning teams. If you want to learn more about the euro zone and join the Delbarton Euro Challenge team, please see Mr. Brady or Jack Schroeder.

  • GERMAN CLUB COOKING CLASS

    The German Club will be sponsoring its fifth annual cooking class at the Black Forest Inn in Stanhope on the evening of November 25th, (after the last day of classes before Thanksgiving break). The cost for the trip, which includes hands-on instruction in making delicious German food, as well as dinner, is $30/person. This trip is open to students, parents, and faculty, and it will fill up quickly. There are approximately seven slots left out of a total of 20 maximum, so see Mr. Conn as soon as possible for a permission form and information!

    Reminder that this Friday, a.k.a. Halloween, a.k.a. October 31st, there will be a costume contest for students. Please dress up in appropriate costumes (see emails if necessary) for a fun time. Also please know that this is not a dress-down day, but a dress-up day for the holiday. We look forward to your spooky/scary/funny costumes!"

    The first Coffeehouse of 2014 is on Saturday November 1st in the FAC Band Room at 7 O’Clock. Coffeehouse is a great way to get together with friends to enjoy live music, poetry and standup comedy. It’s only five dollars to watch your talented brothers perform and there is food!
