Advanced Placement

Delbarton School offers a wide range of Advanced Placement courses for students from grades 10 to 12. The AP program, administered by the College Board, offers students the opportunity to take college-level courses and to receive advanced placement, college credit, or both, in college on the basis of their performance on rigorous AP examinations taken at the end of the year. Not only does advanced placement prepare the student for college-level work and build his self-confidence for college, it also improves his chances of getting into a competitive college and increases the likelihood that he will graduate from college in four years. Furthermore, grades in an AP course are weighted in determining GPA.
