JUNE DINNER MEETING/ALUMNI PIG ROAST

There has been much debate over whether it is called the June Dinner Meeting or the Alumni Pig Roast, I personally prefer the Alumni Pig Roast title, but what do I know, I digress... Whatever you want to call it, June Dinner Meeting or Pig Roast, it is on Wendesday June 9th at 6:00 pm in the Senior Garden. As many of you know this is where we hold the elections for the new board of Alumni Officers. Make sure you come out and let your voice be heard!

This event pretty much sells itself: free beverages, burgers, hot dogs, and of course slow roasted pork. Obviously if you are free on June 9th stop by have a drink, eat some bbq and let your presence be known.

If you plan on attending please email Gator (Mark Gately '04) at mgately@delbarton.org.

CHICAGO ALUMNI RECEPTION

The Chicago Reception was a blast! This was my 3rd time out in Chicago, but it was my first and last as President of The Alumni Association. The weather was perfect, about 65 degrees and clear skies which made for a beautiful night at Smith & Wollensky's overlooking the Chicago River. Not only was the weather and setting perfect, but the people were perfect (if that makes sense...). We had about 35 people in attendance, including a couple of Parents of Alumni who were able to join us. I saw two of my classmates, Mark Trerotola '87 and Todd Wells '87, and it was great to catch up with those guys. There were also a couple of guys who had just moved to Chicago, and were thrilled to have a Delbarton event in their new city. I really had an amazing time and I want to thank our alumni in Chicago for giving a strong presence year after year, Thanks guys! Make sure you click here to check out the pictures from the event.

I also am pleased to announce the creation of the Delbarton Alumni Club of Chicago (DAC of Chicago). Over the past two years my board and I have been working on setting up several regional Alumni Clubs. Chicago was our last one, and could be the strongest of them all! I am excited to announce John Glynn '90 as the first ever President of the DAC of Chicago, congrats John! If you live in Chicago and would like get involved with the DAC of Chicago or you have a great idea for an event please email John at jpglynn@gmail.com.

DELBARTON ALUMNI NETWORKING EVENT

The Alumni Networking Event was a huge success! I would like to thank Joe Ferraro '95 for hosting us for the 2nd year in a row at Tiro a Segno in the West Village. It is a very special and unique place and I love going there. We had a great group of guys in attendance, 75 alums in total. We had alums ranging from the class of 1972 all the way up to recent college graduates from the class of 2005. I know that everyone had a great time, I certainly did!

Make sure you click here to check out pictures from the event. If you missed it this year hopefully you can make it nex year.
